How to make a Cosmic Trifle:

Sponge fingers or cake, lay on the bottom of the bowl. Fruit from a tin or cut up small, then add fruit jelly. Let it set. Custard on top, allowed to go cold, and then add cream.

Oh, if you are into it, add sherry to the sponge and fruit before putting in the jelly.

Sprinkle billions and billions on top.
